Bitmap images

Hi! is it at all possible to use jpg or png, rather than bmp ? It's not a huge deal, but those are better formats — Game widow ^(talk) 13:08, 23 July 2015 (UTC)

Sorry, I won't take pictures with Fraps anymore. It only allows me to take bmp images instead of jpg or png. I would have to register for that, and pay for it (I'm still a student, so I don't have money). I'll try to find alternative ways to take screenshots. Sorry for that. I'm also new at wikis too. — kd103

You might also be interested in "SageThumbs" (another free app) which lets you just right click on an image and convert it to a different format — Game widow ^(talk) 16:35, 23 July 2015 (UTC)

Nevermind. I just found out that my current photo-viewer can convert images to other formats. I'll take note of that app though. — kd103

Is this about a signature? Don't think I have one. I manually write only my user page though, because it seems like I can't link my user talk, and I don't know how you guys write the time. Is it like a code, or you write the time manually? — kd103

for a simple one like mine, just use: — [[User:kd103|kd103]] <sup><small>([[User_talk:kd103|talk]])</small></sup>, and put that in the signature field at the bottom of the User profile tab in your Preferences, then make sure to check the box below for "Treat signature as wikitext (without an automatic link)". Or you can style it any way you like, using that same field. Thereafter, using the four tilde's will always give you the same / expected result — Game widow ^(talk) 16:17, 27 July 2015 (UTC)

Yep, that's the code. As I wrote above: just type ˜ ("Tilde" symbol, top left part of the keyboard) 4 times and see what happens. :) Check it here, on your talk page. It will automatically post your name with the link to your profile, link to your talk page and date and time of the post. Just type it here and click "Save page".
