In The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, our hero Geralt of Rivia recovers step by step fragments of his lost memory, after he returned back to life in the beginning of The Witcher. All these fragments are represented into animated sequences called flashbacks, in a cartoonish art style that recount the events from the Rivian Pogrom, to Geralt returning at Kaer Morhen.
