::These references were already noted on the [[Easter Eggs]] page, but I've added some of the extra information you provided. The Alfred Nobel reference was already noted there (under References to Other Games/Media) as was the St. George reference (Visual Easter Eggs) — [[User:Game widow|Game widow]] 10:44, July 5, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks. I'll read the Easter Eggs page.

Revision as of 13:23, 5 July 2010

There are other references in the game. For example, a painting in which Witcher George slaying a dragon on a Kaer Morhen castle wall referencing to St. George who is depicted in Eastern Orthodox Church iconography.

Again in Kaer Morhen, Eskel talks about Alfred Nabel who is an accomplished gnome inventor. According to Eskel, he invented an explosive powder which would be useful in mines but he didn't foresee its abuse. This is obviously a reference to Alfred Nobel who invented dynamite.

I didn't add these under References to other literature and couldn't find a category to post these. I'm not comfortable editing the wiki pages as I'm afraid to mess the page layouts. So, I hope someone will put these under appropriate section. Thanks.
