First witchers were created about 300 years before action of The Voice of Reason (1253), so 950s or late 940s. Aretuza, erm... Based on conversation between Geralt and Vilgefortz from Time of Contempt can be concluded that it was founded some time after creation of Conclave, but the exact year/decade... hard to say. About new alphabet, we know ever less - only that by the time of its invention, the First Runes was in use. And I'm not sure if it was ideo-runic. SMiki5five (talk) 09:32, 8 August 2015 (UTC)
- Erm, wait... First Runes could be invented even before First Landing, by human folk already existing in the North. So the new alphabet could be introduced after First Landing - you know, Jan Bekker & others weren't a barbarians, they should already have some kind of alphabet.
