Bitter Harvest is one of the secondary quests available in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The Witcher can find Albin Hart on the battlefield close to the Border Post, which leads to the island before one can enter Novigrad. The man asks the Witcher the favour of defending his fellow scavengers from the roaming necrophages.
Journal entry
- The Nilfgaardian and Redanian forces had fought many bloody yet indecisive battles in Velen from which both sides had to retreat without collecting their dead. On one such field Geralt encountered a group of looters robbing the corpses of the fallen. In another time and place he might have merely grit his teeth and continued on his way. Yet conditions in Velen were harsh and other sources of sustenance few - so he decided to swallow his revulsion and defend these desparate men from the monsters stalking the battlefield.
- Hiring a witcher was one of the best ideas the looters' leader had ever hit upon. Geralt dutifully kept the monsters at bay while they completed their grim harvest.
Walkthrough
- Fight the incoming waves of Ghouls and defend the looters.
- Return to Albin Hart and get your reward.
Notes
- During this quest Albin Hart may die. In this case the quest still can be completed (you'll get your reward from one of the survivors), but the quest Fake Papers will have failed when you return to the shady merchant for your fake pass and tell him about his brother's-in-law fate. Also you'll get only 20
instead of 2x50 as a reward.
