Talk:Geralt of Rivia
Name trivia[edit source]
Geralt is not actually from Rivia; he made it up as it made him sound more trustworthy to his employers. Ironically, he was knighted Geralt of Rivia for fighting under Rivian banner during Battle for the Bridge on the Yaruga. Cement Plant 18:29, October 18, 2011 (UTC)
Gwynbleidd is also Welsh for "White Wolf" Also can be Bleidd Gwyn because Welsh grammar is wierd like that.
Something wrong[edit source]
"Later, Queen Meve of Lyria knighted him for his valour in the Battle for the Bridge on the Yaruga conferring on him the formal title "of Rivia", which amused him. He is, therefore, a knight of Lyria, and not a commoner. His status is, in one example, acknowledged during the first Witcher game, when he is twice invited by Siegfried of Denesle to join the knightly Order of the Flaming Rose."
If I remember corecctly Siegfried said that anyone can join, commoner, knight or witcher. That makes this sentence a little strange or wrong.
Age in TW3[edit source]
Geralt won't be much older than in TW2, he only is not shaved. This said Mikołaj Szwed, CDPR localization producer, in an interview with the-witcher.de (4:28'). So for me the beard (and the unshaved face at all) reflects only his hard travel pressed for time. DiamondDove (talk) 21:59, 24 August 2013 (UTC)
