Item effect

From Witcher Wiki
Jump to: navigation, search

Master and Magic items can get different item effects in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The effects are chosen at random from a select pool, depending on the item's type and quality. Master items get one effect from the master pools. Magic items get two effects, and they can be drawn from both the master and magic pool. Furthermore, gear in the Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions get one additional effect from the magic pool, for a possible combined 3 magic effects.

This randomisation does not apply to crafted items, no matter their quality tier, nor to Common, Relic or Witcher gear items. These have specific defined properties, and will not get additional effects from the below lists.
