Appearance(s)

Filavandrel aén Fidháil[1] (or aep Fidháil[2]) of the Silver Towers was the former ruler of Dol Blathanna's elven kingdom, exiled to the Blue Mountains after its conquest by humans under the Aedirnian banner about a hundred years ago. A proud Aen Seidhe king, he was reluctant to bow his head even when his subjects (including Toruviel) faced death by famine.

During the first phase of second Northern War, he recognised the authority of sorceress Enid an Gleanna over the Valley and became her counselor. However, he did not agree with some of her views, such as supporting Nilfgaardian Emperor Emhyr var Emreis in his attempts to conquer the Northern Realms.

In the Polish Movie and TV series[ | ]

He appeared in the short story The Edge of the World (Kraniec świata) as well as in the episode based on that story, Dolina Kwiatów, in which he was played by Daniel Olbrychski.

Netflix[ | ]

In the Netflix-Version, Filavandrel is portrayed by Tom Canton.
