Notes[edit | edit source]

  • Bryonia has 12 species under its name in the real world. Herbal medicine and Homeopathy have found uses for some of them. They belong to the gourd family (Cucurbitaceae) and all parts of these plants can be considered poisonous. The juice of the red or black berries can cause a severe rash on the skin.
  • Bryony (+ variants) was a popular 18th century given name.
