Bandit camp

The ruins of Amavet Fortress sit atop a small plateau overlooking the village below and the roads leading toward White Orchard village. A location in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, it does not have fast travel sign or description on the map. Alongside it is a short escarpment that separates the forest to the crossroads on the other side.

It was used by a local lord called Ignatius Verrieres to detain and interrogate the witcher Kolgrim of the Viper School over the alleged kidnapping of a local boy. For unknown reasons, it was then left to fall to ruin. A group of bandits later made camp there. One of them, perhaps their leader, left his notes behind as he went to fight Geralt who was raiding their camp.

The ruins can only be accessed by jumping onto and climbing the rocky cliffs and fortress walls on the forested side of the butte.
