In the movie and series, there is an entirely different character who, while named after Chireadan (an elf from "The Last Wish"), is completely unrelated to the character from the novels and game. For the series and movie, Chireadan is a witcher, played by Georgi Angiełow, who was sent to capture or kill Geralt for the death of Dermot Marranga. Geralt met him on his way to Cintra from the temple of Melitele in Ellander. After defeating Chireadan in a duel, Geralt sent him to talk with the sorcerer Istredd.
